This program examines numerous ways law enforcement personnel can enlarge their agency’s ethical communication investment base in their communities towards building & increasing public trust, premised in Peel’s Principles of Policing.  The course examines the inside-out approach for consistent character-driven policing through five outreach tiers to maximize Officer contacts with residents & the community, discussing numerous ways Officers meet the public (casual, non-criminal, & criminal circumstances).

It discusses how to make positive in-roads with enclave imbedded misperceptions & bias against the police, providing concrete ways Officers can build support for their agency & profession, regardless of shift/assignment.  This course discusses how to recognize implicit bias in self, in those you supervise, & in public contacts & how personal biases can easily impact emotional responses to what occurs on scene.
