The Command Presence FTO Certification Course is a 32-hour, human-performance-based program designed to modernize field training for today’s law enforcement agencies. Built on the C.T.E. Model© (Coach, Train, Evaluate). This framework focuses on developing performance, not just documenting it.
This course is intentionally designed to challenge the status quo of what we are accustomed to in law enforcement field training programs by emphasizing Recruit development, research-based coaching techniques, and practical training concepts. The result will be a well-trained Recruit equipped with the functional skills, knowledge, and professional mindset necessary to embark on a successful and rewarding career in law enforcement.
Through instructor-led discussions, small-group exercises, video analysis, and written assessments, this course will challenge the learner to adopt a more efficient approach to implementing field training for their agency. Learners will be introduced to the foundation & principles of the C.T.E. (Coach, Train, then Evaluate) Model©, familiarize themselves with the roles and responsibilities of an effective field training officer or field training program supervisor, and obtain a firm grasp of the key components to effective training.
When implemented properly, agencies experience:
