Supervision of Police Personnel (SPP) offers instruction in foundational supervisory and managerial skills and is designed to teach first-line supervisors how to manage contemporary leadership challenges. This two-week, on-ground course focuses on understanding human behavior and day-to-day work relationships with subordinates, superiors, and the public. Designed for officers with little or no formal supervisory training, SPP covers such critical topics as:

  • DiSC® Personal Profile System
  • Discipline & Managing Problem Employees
  • Ethics & Professionalism
  • Key Elements of Dynamic Leadership

PLEASE NOTE: NUCPS utilizes the Honorlock examination proctoring tool. Each student must have Google Chrome and the Honorlock Chrome extension installed on their computer/laptop prior to the first day of the course. MTU 8 will pay for up to 3 seats per member agency. There is a $1,200 fee for all other seats (fee payable to NUCPS).
