This program covers the concepts and practical application of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), as well as Officer-Citizen High Threat Casualty Extraction. Officers will learn how to treat commonly encountered wound patterns and how to plan and execute a citizen rescue. Scenario-based exercises will allow each participant to apply critical lifesaving skills in a dynamic patrol-based setting. On completion of the course, each participant will receive a TECC/TCCC approved tourniquet, pressure bandage and chest seals.
Topics:
** Officers are required to bring their duty belt/gear and wear clothing appropriate for physically demanding scenario training. Due to the hands-on nature of this training, course enrollment will be limited to twenty (20) participants.
This project is supported by funds from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Fiscal Year 2018 Homeland Security Grant Program, CFDA #97.067.
