In law enforcement, criminals use the latest technologies to communicate, manage, and facilitate their crimes. Their heavy reliance on cell phones, smart devices, social media, and Internet connected devices, makes it crucial for police officers to learn the fundamental aspects of digital forensics. This will allow investigators, to become more effective and efficient towards understanding the data being missed, destroyed or often overlooked in many investigations.

This course expands the knowledge of investigators from cell phone investigations to all devices, mediums, and technological platforms of interests. Investigators need to understand the best practices of digital forensics to properly engage the evidence, technology, and devices being encountered in the field.
This course will prepare learners with a foundation and overview involving digital forensics and the methods used to collect digital evidence, document the scene, and conduct examinations.
This two-day training course will provide officers with a comprehensive approach to understand, assess, and take specific, actionable steps during criminal and civil cases. This course teaches the systematic approach to use digital forensics. This exploitation can lead to better investigative practices and preservation of acquired digital and traditional evidence during investigations.
